Hello, and welcome to my Snapdragon application for ‘A Liar, A Trickster, A Curse…’ -Who am I? As you may have noticed, my username is PixelTomes! -What are some fun facts about me? I’m a bookworm who also happens to have a passion in animation(with the occasional art piece here and there). Some of my main fandoms are things like Warrior Cats, Wings of Fire, The Cosmere, Keeper of the Lost Cities, the Grishaverse, and more! I also write in my free time. (free time? What’s that?) -How active am I? Luckily, I’m actually quite active! I don’t post projects as much as I should, but I frequently roleplay with other scratchers and occasionally post some tasty oc lore while I’m at it. My schedule during the week is /very/ flexible, so I do often have time to hop on scratch and…do whatever lol. I would say if I guessed my activity from a scale of 1-10, I’d be at about an 8! [1 being dust is settling on my profile and 10 being I never leave-]. -how long have I had my gens cats before? Ok this is a sliiiight err in my reputation here but I have not held a gens cat for longer than 10 moons *sob*. I understand if you do not want to accept me due to this fact. HOWEVER, none of these past d34ths of gens cats have been in my control, and I will go over those in the last section of this application, ‘former characters’. -do I have any roleplaying/writing experience? Hmm…thats an interesting question. I can say I haven’t ever published a book(lol) but I have been in a TON of different roleplays and I have quite a bit of experience in that part. I have been in gens for…wow almost a year now? And have been roleplaying for…two years or so as a whole I believe. .: also I have co-created and hosted a roleplay of my own! Fell in love with this lil guy as soon as I saw his awesome Snapdragonstar-inspired design. Not only is the design falling into the suuuuper tiny category of simple-enough-to-draw but also complicated-enough-to-be-original, but I really enjoy the setup for his character that the *ahem* interesting parenting situation provides. I also find the lineage and relations side of things an…iiiinteresting thing to explore, as my past cats have not had many important relatives, so to speak. Also he’s just so adorable <3 -Ok but why /should/ I have Snapdragon? Well firstly, if all goes as planned, I plan for this dude to live a pleasant, character development-filled life. If I’m accepted, I hope to cook up some fun friendships/rivalries for him as a kit and fiddle around a bit with that when he grows older. I can’t promise no trauma for this poor lil dude but I can say that he will undergo, if all goes as planned, quite the story arc indeed. I also assume that you are looking for someone who plans to truly develop their kit into a character worth roleplaying, and I can hope that I may be able to accomplish such a thing. -What’s Snapdragon going to be like, personality-wise? Asking the hard questions here I see /silly]] Simplified, I think it'll pretty much be like this: [pro] ~ natural empathy, quick wit, clever, [neu] ~ curious, passionate, quiet [neg] ~ insecure, distrusting, shy Detailed, it’ll go something like this: [as a ‘kit’ (flicker)] Snapdragon is quite the odd little kit. Shy, quiet, and often suspicious or even scared of newer cats. However, break through his cold little shell and you’ll find he’s a passionate, enthusiastic little tom. He is often able to understand and empathize with cats he meets and interacts with, and somehow always knows the right thing to say, whether it be an improvised quip he springs out of nowhere, or just to be there and listen. He’s often insecure about his fangs, especially as other kits are always curious, so he’s developed an interesting quirk where he doesn’t like to look cats in the eyes. Because they always stare. And if he pretends they’re not staring…maybe they just didn’t notice. Right? [as an ‘apprentice’ (spark)] He was taught to be distant from others by his mom, whether personally or just through example. But over time, as he observed, relationships just lead to pain, and loss, and he doesn’t understand why others pursue this still. A loner on the outside, but lonely at heart, he tries to convince himself he doesn’t need anyone, to stop wanting companionship, but his heart doesn’t seem to listen. [as a ‘warrior’ (flame)] Now believing himself to be certain about his destiny, he may have retained a friendship or two from sparkhood, but is well and truly alone, so he hopes. He has ambitious goals. To make his opinions known. To teach other cats to respect him. But regardless of his goals…he still won’t meet any cat’s eyes. (Cont. in notes & credits )
-What are some roleplay examples of yours? He also doesn’t like to confront them…openly. .:he also will be planned to enjoy climbing trees! He loved the feeling of hanging from branches, seperate from the world but in his happy place, watching things from afar. It’s his way of running from his problems, so to speak. Or rather…climbing from them? .: more to come! I don’t have everything determined yet but those are just some fun ideas :D -Research: Overgrown Teeth (‘Fangs’) .: What is it? Overgrown teeth(the front incisors growing longer than expected, digging into the cat’s upper gums and causing swelling and discomfort) is an uncomfortable, and potentially dangerous affliction. So much so that it is generally recommended for a cat’s overgrown fangs to be removed so as to stop the discomfort and pain before it can worsen or get infected. .: how will he cope? Since Snapple will evidently not be able to do that, he will have to cope in other ways. Those ways may include: pawing at his food before he eats to tear or soften it up before eating it to minimize chewing so he doesn't pierce his gums, specifically choosing softer prey, or watering down his meals. .: how will this affect him? Snapple will be in pretty much constant pain due to this. It will worsen as he becomes an elder, of course, but for the larger portion of his life it won’t be anything too severe. However, it will often trouble him and not only is he insecure about it, he also tends to refrain from eating in front of others, choosing to (as loners often do) eat his meals in solitude. He also gets very uncomfortable whenever others mention it, which will be a frequent occurrence as a kit, but as he gets older it will happen less and less. -Former Characters I have had two gens cats before. One was a Mossclan apprentice at d34th, and one was a Pyrothys flicker. .: Crashpaw, a Mossclan apprentice, was a young and passionate little cat. Loved and adored her adoptive father, Transmittide, and was determined to become leader one day. I had many plans for her, but sadly her time was cut short during the great Wolf Attack on Mossclan after a lotta prey fails. .: Gar, a Pyrothys spark, was a curious and quiet lil dude…up until his father, Transmittide passed away. Scared and anxious, he waited eagerly for someone to notice him, someone to be friends with, anyone. But he d13d cold and alone, starving because Pyrothys hadn’t hunted enough. Unable to hunt for himself, he starved to d34th.
