Physics of Flight : ----------------------- I know the physics of flight. It starts when you bend your knees with the same effort you use to open that one cabinet at your grandmother's house. The one where you have to grip it tight and pull up slightly just to get it to budge. The power exits through your arms as you make an upward swing, preparing to jump into the air. You don't know where this power originates from. The moment your legs leave the ground, gravity has left you. The physics of flight. The sky says, "I love you". Gravity says, "You are free". Logic says, "Why do you jump?". The ground says, "We will catch you". Flying a short but grave distance. The slight drop takes your breath away only to return it to you as you land, feet first onto the concreate. The shock starts in your ankles and travels up your spine, you execute a protective roll to move the energy to your fingertips again to set it free. The stability of ground embraces you like your mother's arms. And that's when you realize, only when you jump are you truthfully, beautifully, wonderfully, Free.
