Chapter 8 Silverpaw woke to the bright sun shine in her eyes. Mistpaw was beside her fast asleep. Lionpaw was across the apprentice den and Thornpaw was beside him fast asleep. Lionpaw lifted his head and stretched. "Todays gonna be fun Silverpaw said excitedly. "Yeah indeed it is. Lionpaw was sleepy still but Silverpaw was wide awake. Just then Silverpaw heard Dewpelt call her name. "Coming she yelled excitedly. He was waiting for her and Hollynose was with him."She called Thornpaw out and he was very much asleep. Lionpaw shook his brother and Thornpaw shot up"Whats up is there an attack. Silverpaw burst out laughing. "No silly its time to go on our first walk in the forest she said slyly. "She looked over at Lionpaw and he purred in amusement. No body but Dewpelt knew that they had snuck out of what Silverpaw knew. But Dewpelt had spilled the beans to the clan leader Otterstar. "Come Dewpelt said. He walked out of the barrier entrence and Silverpaw was right behind him. They walked out into the alive forest. There were birds singing in the early morning. The sun was hardly up yet. squirrels were high in the trees chattering. A chipmunk was scurrying on top of a branch that had fallen to the ground. Dewpelt walked on into the thick underbrush. The forest was a entire other site in the daytime. Silverpaw saw the creek she had heard the night she had snuck out. Dewpelt was sitting on a fallen branch grooming himself and he looked amused."Done staring at the forest. There is plenty more in our territory. Thornpaw had been looking around nervously. "Are there any badgers nearby. "Why don't you find out Hollynose said. Sniff the air and see. Thornpaw did as he was told and he took a deep breath in. "All I can smell is the forest. "Breath in deep Hollynose said He took a deep breath and purred."All I can smell is Mice ,squirrels and birds. Then there is no badger around Hollynose said. But this was only the beginning of that exiting day.
