He had yet another nightmare, but at least he hadn't woken up screaming like last time. Ever since his father died, Willow couldn't seem to get a good night's sleep. Memories of his parents flashed through his head every time he closed his eyes. Even though he'd sworn to be indifferent, the past still haunted him. He trotted out of the apprentice's den and took a look at the star-filled sky. It was midnight, the time when he felt closest to his father. Willow turned to head out of camp, maybe a stroll would do him some good. The grassy, sloped landscape of Flurryclan territory looked like an inescapable void at night. The darkness almost seemed to be closing in around Willow. With a flick of his tail, a light began to shine around the nervous apprentice. Lulu, his firefly, made the world around them seem so much brighter. He eventually came across a boulder laying on a creek bed. It seemed like the perfect place to stop and rest. Willow sat upon the rock and turned back to the stars, this time with his bug friends beside him. Willowpaw chuckled as Jade, his stag beetle, perched upon his head, nuzzling into his floofy fur. Meanwhile, Lulu rested on the tip of his tail. "Jade, Lulu. I don't know what I'd do without you two."
