Hello everyone today I will tell you all about my race yesterday..THIS IS PART 1!! Excitement pulsed through me as I stepped out the car. It was freezing and a cold wind hit my face. I quickly put on my gloves and immediately saw my 2 teammates! "Hi Zoey, Hey Lily!," I said cheerfully. "It's freezing!," Lily remarked. When we were all ready we went off around the course. Zoeys dad gave us advice every now and then as we went around. Suddenly, I came upon a very frozen looking puddle. "Woah! Guys come look at this!," I called. Lily and Zoey came running over. "Wow we'll have to watch out for this monster in the race!," Zoey exclaimed. We all burst out laughing at Zoeys silly comment. I felt strong and ready as I finished my drills. I put on my spikes and asked my dad to do them extra tight as he started tying in them. Maya came up to me and asked if I'd like to do strides with her. I nodded and we did around 5. I made sure I stayed as warm as possible So I wouldn't freeze! Then Zoeys dad called us over and I realised..it was time!
