This phase takes place in a swamp Survivors' Story: Time was running out, everytime they looked up they could see Mr Sun growing more unstable, breaking apart under the weight of his own mass, They knew if they were to survive and stop the end of the world they needed to find and defeat black, After weeks of upgrading Killbot and enduring the heat before everything went dark, Garnold and Gray prepare to end this once and for all, starting a Journey back to the church in hopes of finding an answer to undoing Black's curse, taking a shortcut through the swamps. As they trailed along the dark sludge, Garnold would find Clukr's cymbal against one of the trees, He takes the cymbal realising that Clukr is no more, sending Garnold into a deep grief and vowing to be strong for Clukr, clutching the cymbal close to himself. In the depths of the goo, Wendril emerges and strikes Garnold before being shot by Gray, her attack persisted, Garnold fought back with Clukr's cymbal as a shield, repeatedly punching the feline with his mechanical arm before it got stripped off, soon the feral Wendril fled into the trees badly injured, same for Garnold who spent the rest of the journey sandwiched between Gray and Killbot for his safety, back to being scared. Midway into the swamp they notice something, or someone, a tree with a familiar looking expression with a peculiar orange light emitting from one of the openings, Killbot analysis the tree, confirming a data match to Vineria. Realisation dawns as the survivors realise beyond the trees would be the wreckage of the festival that was hosted back in Chapter 1, and that Vineria had been trapped here for so long the fields had become a dense, murky forests surrounded in mutated plantlife. Before they could mourn Vineria, Simon rises from the mud, tendrils shooting from his mouth towards the survivors, Garnold jumps in front to block with Clukr's Cymbal while Gray lights a Molotov and throws it at Simon, blowing off part of his face and setting the trees ablaze. fire surrounds the swamp where the trio made a quick getaway, noticing a white figure also fleeing at breakneck speeds towards the church. Deitys' Story: To make the afterlife less miserable, the duo would regularly speak with the souls for their inputs or general chatter. -Tunner hates how his body has been reduced to singing showtunes, using quite choice words, but was overall Happy to be with Sky and Jevin again. -Clukr would still be squabbling on how all this is even scientifically possible and having a meltdown over their world not being real. -Brud doesn't understand what's going on but is happy to see everyone again -OWAKCX would frequently freak out and scream for hours, going on rants about doomsday. Sky tries to not let his emotions get the better of him, being so young and having to deal with his new afterlife has caused the poor boy to become emotionally unstable, frequently requiring comfort from his papa Jevin, Pops Tunner or Uncle Oren and Aunt Pinki. Mr sun had collapsed, turning into Mr BlackHole, plunging the world into darkness and reduced gravity, the only source of light being from Funbot's lights and the burning embers of the forest. seeming to be the end of the world and giving the survivors a few hours at most to undo what has happened before Mr Blackhole Engulfs the entire lab. Trapped Souls' Story: Vineria walks after what feels like an eternity, opening her eyes, She's surrounded by fire, yet feels so cold, once the fires die down she would see the souls of those who she once held so dearly descend towards her with an open embrace, inviting her to join them, only to be stopped by Black, before Black could absorb Vineria's soul she throws her arms out in a panic, vines shoot from the ground striking black, sending him back giving Jevin time to ward him off with his scythe. Villains' Story: Wendril Scrambles to the church, the church was decorated evidently showing her resident for a while now, a piano made of Pinki, Tunner in the corner in his own little puppet storytime booth constantly playing for her amusement, and a machine near the summoning alter where Durple was hooked up to, missing an eye from a prior encounter with Gray, seeming to be extracting something from Durple while at the same time pumping him with a black goo, accelerating his mutations and causing his body to break apart, sprouting more faces from within. Wendril would hook herself up to the same machine.
