The ancestor of the Mile Leviathan, the Bluff Leviathan was alive during the "Era of Land". It was much smaller than its future relative, and carved massive and intricate tunnel systems into cliffs, just below the water. This species was not the apex predator, and was hunted by much larger species. During the Great War, this alien moved out of the burrows, grew much larger, and became more of a threat.
