Chapter 5 Silverkit ran with all her might straight for camp. Lionkit was behind her and he kept up. "Wait Lionkit said. If we tell them then we are going to get in trouble cause we left camp!"I don't care Silverkit said I am going to tell. They ran past trees and bushes and rocks. Dewpelt was on gaurd. He looked horrified. "What in the world he said in a low voice. You guys are not supposed to be out hear. Silverkit did not care about being quiet."Dewpelt she shouted we are going to be attacked at dusk. Lionkit nodded his head."Why were you out of camp Dewpelt said in horror."We were going to attack what mom and dad had been worried about. "We were looking for it when we heard a bunch of cats talking about attacking us at Dusk when we were all asleep. Lionkit said it quietly. "Dewpelt looked bewildered. "I don't know he said. You guys just go back to bed and forget any of this ever happened. Silverkit woke to a yowl from outside the camp. Dewpelt shot out of the Leaders den and Otterstar dragged himself out. All the warriors poured out of the warriors den and the two apprentices Cherrypaw and Brairpaw came out of their den. The sun was not up yet but it would be in a few minutes. SIlverkits mom got up and so did Lionkits and Thornkits mom. Cats poured in on all sides and yowls filled the camp. SIlverkit saw outside of the den for one second before her mother grabbed her by the scruff and put her in her nest with Mistkit and Dawnkit. Dawnkit was frightend out of her mind. Lionkit and Thornkit were put in the same nest as Silverkit and her siblings. Silverkits mom was Attacking a Young tom you was trying to get into the nursery. A she cat was bracking the wall and stuck a paw in She was pulling Dawnkit towards her. Silverkit was not thinking she just did. She lunged and sank her teeth deep into the she cats paw and the She cat howled. Thornkits mom came in from outside with blood trickling down her snout. "There all going for the nursery and the High stone. SIlverkit knew there would be fighting for a long time. Dewpelt jumped on a tabby tom and sunk his claws deep. The tom howled and ran into the tunnel and out of the camp. There were Six warriors defending Otterstar and Seven defending the nursery including the shecats. Dewpelt knew that the kits had been right about the ambush. A gray Shecat jumped on top of Dewpelt and pinned him down. Foxclaw jumped on the She cat and did a stinging blow that sent her running. Dewpelt was already axosted but the fight was not nearly done.
