Hi, I am here to talk about something that has happened to me and should never happen to you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- If a friend makes you hurt, teases you for no reason or the way you act or look (if you eat different, look different, etc) they aren't a real friend. If they tease you for wearing a necklace or tease you because you eat with chopsticks (not my situation), they aren't a real friend. Sometimes they actually mean to be a real friend, but don't know how to act or control their anger. If you express this through words, it becomes clear that this is unacceptable, whether verbal or physical (sadly). For example, I have had a person criticize me for eating with a fork, and joking around with my bff. They showed dislike by grabbing me hard around my arms. If this happens to you, you need to A. Tell an adult ASAP. B. Tell them to stop. C. Walk away from the situation. If they repeat it, and you have showed dislike, that doesn't become "they don't know how to control feelings." It becomes they WANT to annoy you. If you have a hard time showing anger in an OK way, you should say "sorry" afterwards, and note you have a hard time controlling it. You don't have to say why, just let them know about it. So, remember, if a friend is rude, tell them. If they are hurting you, tell them. Walk away. Do what you need to do to keep yourself safe mentally, physically and emotionally, as long as you do it in an OK way, for example, screaming at a friend isn't a good way to show you are angry, telling them as calmly as you can at the moment is a good way. Stay safe, my snails.
