Character stats and affiliations do not apply here. These beasts are the black holes from Super Mario Galaxy. They vary in size, from very small to whole planets. Regardless of size, come too close, and they will suck you up. Strangely enough, unlike regular black holes that follow the regular laws of physics, their heavy gravity only applies if you enter a certain small range that starts at the beginning of the swirl, or you enter an area with no other nearby gravitational forces acting on you. When certain entities are sucked in, a 'metallic' sound plays as the entity swirls around and disappears into the beast leaving only a purple dust cloud. Super Mario Galaxy belongs to Nintendo. That's about it.
