❗️MAJOR SPOILER ALERT❗️ Thumbnail by me :3 MY THEORY: Caine is controlling the characters' minds, to eventually brainwash them into insanity, then turning them into AI. This makes sense with Kinger, but then that would mean there's one thing that would preserve their sanity, Kinger's being the dark. My theory on abstraction is that, just like AI, Caine is worried about them becoming too "Smart", so abstraction would essentially mean being deleted. The thing that backs my theory on this is the drawing of Caine chasing Kaufmo in Kaufmo's room. Everyone who abstracted discovered what Caine was really up to, and Caine found out, causing them to abstract. This is probably Jax's situation, as he has all the keys and probably saw something Caine didn't want him to see. It is mentioned that the first person to abstract was Scratch the dog, and that Scratch also worked for C&A. Caine seemed to be the CEO of C&A, so when Scratch found out what Caine was really planning, Caine made them abstract. However, it doesn't seem to work on Kinger. I think this is because he still has a means of coping, that being the dark, which the other abstractions didn't have. THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT I THINK CAINE IS EVIL. I STILL LOVE THE SILLY VERY MUCH.
WHAT I THINK ABSTRACTION IS: In computational thinking, Abstraction is the term for focusing on important information only, ignoring irrelevant detail. There are 2 explanations for this; the first one being for Caine, who is an AI, which would think like this. He's only focusing on the important details, which I think would be Kinger, because he absolutely knows things, also explaining how he hasn't abstracted yet. The rest are abstracting because Caine is getting rid of the "Irrelevant details" meaning the rest of the circus. The second explanation is Abstraction itself. It's getting rid of irrelevant details, the important information is how to leave the circus. I don't have as much to back this up, but lmk what you think as well :)
