Today I was writing and I had the is desire to write things I shouldn't. I stopped writing, but I still tried to evision the scene in my mind. I've asked God to defend my mind in the past. I explerienced what that was like today. It took so much effort to envision the scene, like there was a wall between it and me. After this internal struggle, I got to the scene and while I should have let God protect me, I didn't and I regret it. Thank goodness he forgives me when I screw up. What I'm trying to say is that God is an active defender in my life. He's kept me safe physically, mentally and spiritually. He also makes things work out even when I don't get it at first. Like- last fall break, my family came down with a horrible sickness. We'd had senior photos scheduled for that weekend, and my best friend was in town and we had been wanting to hang out. After a week of the sickness, we were still red eyed and hacking. I woke up feeling alright apart from my appearance, so my sister and I went to hang out with our friend. Somce we had been sick and still looked awful, my mother cancelled our time with the photographer. That day, we got to spend a couple HOURS more with our friend because of that illness. Another story is when I went to Germany. My group was late and we were on a train. A very drunk man came onboard and began threatening to k!ll people for money. I prayed to God that he would protect our train seats from an encounter with the man. The man walked down the train aisle several times, but always stopped behind our seats and turned 180 degrees. These are just two of manyyyy stories I have where God has shown up in my life, but I'm gonna be so real with you, I love him so much. I feel so relieved when I'm talking with him throughout my day. Trust me gang, just say hi to God in your bed late at night, and he wants to meet you. You can figure out the rest later. I love my best friend.
