Hey everyone, long story short, Shayy made a response video. [Btw I felt this was necessary to update due to the fact that the original project would be outdated.] They address many allegations made against them in 2025, and I do think the response is worth watching, if you care about this drama, that is. [TW for frequent mentions of topics such as SA within said response.] As for me, while I do think Shayy brings up valid points during their response, I also think that despite that, we are not the ones in the position to forgive them. That is for the victims to decide, and I'm sure that not all of them will forgive Shayy. If you do choose to see their response, I encourage you to respect everyone involved, including Shayy. I'm not defending their past actions, but I do think that they genuinely believe that the doc made on them last year was inaccurate or incorrect enough to the point they felt they need to share their perspective on the situation, so take that as you will. I might update this later if more information is provided by Shayy or any of their victims. [censored bc scratch stinky.] I don't want to get into it too much myself, as I am not involved in any way to the situation, but I did look up to Shayy. They were a big inspiration for me and my involvement in the ut/dr fandom, and I looked up to them. It's honestly heartbreaking to see the allegations against them, especially because they seem to be true. I have nothing but respect for the victims of Shayy's actions, my heart goes out to them, and I'm glad they spoke out.
