place holder ref until i feel like making one putting any and all resreach here snaggle-tooth - snaggle tooth generally refers to a tooth that is crooked, irregular, or misaligned. this can cuase discomfort and diffculty eating. there are several reasosn on why a cat can have a snaggle tooth the four most common reasons being : jaw issues , dental issues, trauma ( injury ) and bay teeth that jsut simply never fell out. Retained Baby Teeth As mentioned, baby teeth should have fallen out by six months of age, this does not happen in all cats. If the baby tooth fails to fall out, the adult tooth will have less space in which to grow, forcing it out of its normal position. This can cause a snaggle tooth. ( this is here as this is the cause of Snail's snaggle tooth ) How will this effect Sea-Snail? As stated above, he will experience discomfort when eating, especially with hard foods; he may even drool at times. He will also spit or drop his food if it is not soft, and more often than not, he will have a change in deanor, especially if the tooth has been agitated in any sort of way. So he will tend to stick to the softer fish prey , which will help with managing his pain. If it starts to ache, he quickly seeks out the medic for aid but if he is unable to go to the medic fast enough he just stays in his nest until the ache has gone away.
