────── ˚₊ ᨒ ↟ ────── As you explore the Valley, you come across a small, overgrown and seemingly abandoned tower perched on a hill in the forest Without really knowing what you're doing, you take the steps up to the front door, and knock The door creaks open from the inside. "Hello?" You jump a little. You hadn't expected anyone to be inside. "Hi? The door opens a little wider, and you see a short man with a purple beard, a mystical robe, and a tall, pointy hat waiting inside the tower. "Ah, so you are the newcomer in the valley. I have long foreseen your coming," he says, his voice deep and rumbling. "Come in!" He gestures for you to step inside, and, carefully, you do. As you look around, you can see shelves stocked with potions, a bubbling cauldron, and a ritualistic symbol carved into the floor. "So . . . are you a wizard?" You ask, and he nods. "Yes, I suppose you could say that. There are many strange happenings in this valley, my new friend, making it the perfect place for someone like me to call home." "Oh . . ." You can't help but be a little unnerved by this whole place, yet you still feel as if your destiny is called to it. "And I have something to show you! I don't normally show it to newcomers this early on, but you seem trustworthy. Come with me." The wizard leads you down a long staircase, and eventually you reach a door. "I must warn you, this is not a place to take lightly." The wizard says the words with an air of foreboding. And then he opens the door. You enter a small room with not much in it, save a few barrels and a large, solid gold statue. "Um . . . what is that?" You ask, peering at it. "That," says Rasmodius with a flourish, "is the Shrine of Illusions. It allows you to change your name, appearance, favorite thing, and some other details, too." You stare at it, wondering how you'll choose. "Go on!
