Previous - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1192869131/ Updates from last boss: - Noob looks more like a noob for once - Looks better now - Dialogue has been updated a bunch. (It looks better too tbh) Upgrades from last boss: - You gained an extra 15 max hp. (45 total max hp now) - you deal more damage. - you deal damage more quickly - you heal more. - you can now block (use F key) - you can now launch an air slash. (use Q key) - your slash is bigger. (I think you have Jason's hitbox or Slasher's hitbox now lol) Nerfs: - Healing takes 3 seconds before you can use it again. Controls: - WASD to move. - F to block (10 second cooldown) - Click to attack - Space to dash. can't heal while doing so. (2 second cooldown) - A/D to move left/right - W to jump - W+S is upwards dash, S+A/D = Normal dash - Z to continue dialogue, skip dialogue, ect. - E to heal. can't dash while doing so. (4 second cooldown unlike the last few fights which had 2 second cooldown. this is mainly because you heal 5 hp. The next boss fight may allow you to overheal, idk.) Boss completions (me only) - At the time of sharing this, I have not beaten the boss yet with all the attacks he has right now. I have beaten him a few times before.
[See credits for previous boss fights] Forsaken for Corrupted Reflected music. Myself for dialogue code. GroovyDominoes52 for Carl's "Oh" voiceline. How to beat this boss: You can parry the corruption stars by slashing at said stars. You can also parry them with the F key. John Doe's counter is rare, but if it happens, don't attack him, even with ranged attacks you'll still be hit. (If he puts his hand on his head, then he is countering.) Avoid the swoon attack. AT. ALL. COSTS. If you get hit by one, you lose 5 maximum health. Meaning, if you get hit by those 9 times, well, yeah. You're cooked. Lucky, blocking is possible. An indicator at the right of the screen may appear. When it does, get to a higher elevation. Spikes WILL appear and damage you if you don't. (Totally not inspired by another game... not at all... remember, only in Forsake- I mean my boss battles.) There may also be an indicator at the middle of the screen with an arrow facing up. This is not the counter, if you are where John Doe is you will likely take damage from more spikes. I refuse to believe you will actually no-hit the boss. Counters are unpredictable, as is his attack pattern. all in all though just don't die it's easy to not do so
