Welcome to the WML. The name has no real significance, I just couldn't find something that fit the idea, that being: the modes on this list are made by me and people I know, or are generally just curated by me. (If you're planning on verifying something, please record your completion!) Lists: The Main List is a more formal version of the list, excluding certain modes. The Unlimited List is more informal and ranks many more modes, being overall more lenient. The Unverified List ranks only modes that haven't been beaten yet. These are either worthy of being a new top 1 or just had no one who wanted to try verifying it. Me yapping like crazy about the rules: 1 - Mode Placement Criteria 1.1 For the Main List, modes cannot be excessively RNG-based and should have at least a decent portion of its difficulty come from skill. This is based off opinion, however, so it is always up to debate. 1.2 Main List modes must meet quality standards. Their gameplay can't be majorly broken and their visuals can't be too low effort. 1.3 Modes that are simply easier AI level configurations such as custom night challenges or campaign nights cannot be ranked on the Main List, but they may be ranked on the Unlimited List incase they have notability, such as a "Nightmare" preset in a game that has custom night exclusive characters, for example. 1.4 For a mode to place on the Main List, it must be stable and not be changing in gameplay/difficulty. Therefore, modes from unfinished games cannot place on the ML unless the mode is truly complete. An unfinished game with a finished mode can have said mode placed. 1.5 Whether older versions of a game can place on the Main List or at all can be debated, but is ultimately up to the game's creator. 2 - Verifications and Completions 2.1 For verifications, it is recommended that you share video proof or at least image proof. For easier modes, however, this is not necessary. 2.2 Creators of modes CAN verify their own modes, but if someone has beaten the mode besides the creator, said person will be given the title of verifier. 3 - Misc 3.1 The verifier of a mode is allowed to set the thumbnail of what they verified to whatever they wish it to be, so long as it isn't considered problematic. Also, despite being recommended, the verifier is not required to make it clear what mode the thumbnail refers to unless it causes notable confusion. I believe that should be all. Yappity yap yap.
