* MOBILE FRIENDLY * * NOW 140 LEVELS! 29/09/26 * Arrow Keys (or WASD) - Move Chip P - Pause/Resume R - Restart Level On mobile Chip can be controlled by swiping left, right, up or down. The premise of the game is that high-school nerd Chip McCallahan has met Melinda the Mental Marvel in the school science laboratory and must navigate through Melinda's "Clubhouse", a series of increasingly difficult puzzles, in order to prove himself and gain membership to the very exclusive Bit Busters Club. Gameplay involves moving Chip about each of the levels in turn, collecting enough chips to open the chip socket at the end of each level, get to the exit, and move on to the next level. While the same set of rules applies to each level, there are many different kinds of levels. Some are action-oriented and some are puzzle-oriented. Most levels have a time limit. Levels may include block-pushing puzzles (similar to Sokoban), dodging enemies, and moving through mazes. I first became aware of this game a few years ago when someone on Scratch (I forget who) suggested I might like to remake it. While I find the mechanics and the graphics brilliant, I do find some of the level designs a bit hit and miss - Some are fun puzzles, but other level designs are a bit tedious to solve. Therefore I made the decision to allow players to skip to any level in the levelset. The behaviour of the monsters and other elements in the game are as near to the original as I could make it, but there are inevitably some differences. In fact the mob interactions with other mobs are not great, especially on sliding surfaces. I think all the levels are still solvable though. As the original runs at 50fps and Scratch runs at 30fps I have adjusted the time limits on some of the levels to make them possible. You can load and save your progress using the buttons on the "Settings" panel. The original game on Steam has about 30 Janis Joplin piano tracks, which if I imported them all intro Scratch would mean the project would take ages to load and may not in fact load for many people, so I've only used 10 of the music tracks and hopefully that is OK by everyone! Any problems or bugs please let me know! Some levels with a lot of monsters may be laggy... If so use Turbowarp! Anyway, enjoy! colinmacc.
