Ai "art". (I will be using the terms media/slop, because it is NOT art and will never be.) AI in the medical field has helped us make new cures, helps detect problems before they start. AI in the STEM field has made new discoveries, and helped solve formulas too powerful for man to solve. AI in the art field has absolutely NO reason to be there. It doesn't help solve any problems, all it does is steal art from others and make people like graphic designers and many others lose their jobs. If we encourage AI slop to humanity, it can discourage people to be creative,and in the future, people might stop drawing altogether,which can be extremely bad for children's development and motor skills. Art has been a giant part of humanity for thousands of years, and it would be like taking a part out of the world if AI slop continues to be made. AI generated media also steals from hard-working creators,without their consent. When you type in a prompt, the AI scans the internet, gathers up a bunch of HARD WORKED FOR HUMAN ART THAT TOOK TIME to make and mashes it all together into a giant pile of ai crap that somewhat correlates what you probably took 2 minutes maximum to type. "but I'm not good at drawing so I HAVE to use AI!" Pick up a pencil. stop being lazy. Of course, you're not good at art if you don't practice and take time. "But I didn't have any motivation to make this so I just generated it!" PICK UP A PENCIL. Even if you don't have any motivation, there should be NO EXCUSE for why you have to use AI SLOP. "but I can't afford good art supplies!" if you can afford a device that has the power of AI, you can afford a $0.25 pencil and a $2.00 stack of paper. And to anybody that calls them self an artist and only posts ai? How can you call yourself an artist? you didn't make anything at all, other than words. If you like typing so much, become an author. ALSO, running the data itself wastes water. Wasting water means melting ice caps. melting ice caps means no home for the polar bears.
