Here's one of the most cloned games in the history of games, (about) just as Atari made it back in '72. May add other Pongs in the future, such as Superpong. Score font recreated & sound from this video: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/fiShX2pTz9A Remake of the 1972 video game Pong by Atari, Inc., based on the Magnavox Odyssey game Table Tennis. PONG is (C) by Atari, Inc. ===VERSION HISTORY=== 2.3: Bug fix where on the P1 paddle the ball would sometimes go the wrong way 2.2: The game doesn't start until the controls fade out (5 seconds). 2.1: The new bounce system was improved, and the paddles can no longer reach the top of the screen (as in the arcade version). Also, a reminder of the controls is added for the first time you play the game. 2.0: Many improvements to make it much closer to the arcade version. For example, 2 redundant sprites have been removed and the ball now bounces based on where on the paddle it was in contact with, compared to the old system which used RNG. 1.5: Patched bug where ball would phase through players if high enough. It doesn’t do this anymore until speeds impossible for any player (ball speed ≈ low 60s). Also did this update on an iPad 9th gen using mouse & keyboard, which made me realize that there's some sort of bug in Safari/WebKit which messes up the game, so use Chrome I guess. 1.4: Fixed bug where, while not in fullscreen, Scratch wouldn't display backdrop properly. This is an issue with the bitmap renderer. Also fixed a bug where the ball would phase through paddles if fast enough. 1.3: Added a proper sound for when the ball hits the player, like in the video I got the sound from. Also fixed a bug. 1.2: QOL improvement not in original arcade release: when 1 player gets to 11, score sound plays thrice 1.1: Temporary fix for a bug concerning the ball, and another bugfix 1.0: release
