using real world science, the mutant would have a small beaklike structure at the entrance of the through, this secondary beak is semi cartilaginous that also cuts down meat. Inside the throat there are 2 syrinxes (plural for syrinx which is the vocal organ for birds) the second beak and the pair of vocal organs give the mutant 15 unique calls while allowing the bird to mimic almost everything. the mutant would have a long and sharp claw attached to the bird's toe mainly used to slash at prey's throat after tricking prey into a corner. (also this is a doodle the head is based of normal starlings, all I'm saying that this is what the mutant should have)
