This is never getting finished, maybe In the summertime. All nights last infinitely btw. Press space to shock the animatronics once they get nearby
Credits to Scott Cawthorn for FNAF History of Five Nights At Greeny's 3 (This is long and boring, so do not read unless you care why this is unfinished): ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I started this project in December of 2024. This is the same year I started both the first two games. When I first started off this game, I drew the office and characters in the same artstyle that a drew them in FNAG 2. The idea was scrapped mainly because I thought the artstyle looked ugly. After playing many different FNAF fangames I found Frankie's Funhouse. It was probably one of the best scratch FNAF fangames I've played. I was super inspired by the artstyle and I gave it a go. I thought it looked pretty decent, so I made the character models and left it at that. I made the office as well and I told all of my friends about it, and they were pretty hyped, giving me animatronic ideas. One of these people were @ReeceyFella (He's off scratch now I think, but he had some FNAG fan projects that he deleted). Afterwards, I took a pretty long break to focus on school, so fast forward to March. I had many Ideas for how the game works, so I programmed those in, and I made the heat system you see. Now thinking about it, the heat system was a pretty unnecessary addition to the game, but It turned out ok. I programmed pretty on and off in between March and September. I soon added more and more things, like the posters on the wall, and Terry, and all of the different sprites. I then had to program the vent system. The vent system was a major mind block, and one of the two major factors in stopping this project. The vent system was basically the FNAF 3 mechanic where you have to block of animatronics. For some reason, I just dreaded adding this mechanic, and I kept procrastinating. If you don't know me, this is something I do all the time. Get super motivated to make something, and then stop when I scale the project up in my head. My friends and some people were wondering where FNAG 3 was. It had been almost a year since the release of FNAG 1, and I had promised the release of it. I told them I was planning to release it on the Anniversary of FNAG 1, which was Halloween. This deadline gave me pressure to finish up what I had started. Halloween came and went, and though I had programmed a lot of things, the vent system and the pressure to finish the game and the massive list of things I wanted to do with it were too massive for me to wrap my head around, so I extended the deadline to around the Anniversary of FNAG 2. You all know what happened next. It was a crisp late November night. I was packing for something when it happened. Opened up my computer to see 1 message in my inbox. I clicked on it not expecting much. Maybe a studio update, or some random comment I made 4 years ago getting a reply FNAG 2 had gotten banned. I should have expected it. Horror projects, even though FNAG 2 was nearly as scary as other horror games, had gotten banned. I was heartbroken, and I stopped all production of FNAG 3, since there was basically no reason to make it. Me and my friend fought so hard to get it back, but eventually we had to settle on rereleasing the game. It didn't get nearly as much attention as it used to have (Which I don't really care). But all of the comments of my friends were hidden from public view. Finally, in may, I was sitting in class. It was a free period, and I was so tired of seeing FNAG 3 in my unshared projects tab. I finally just shared it, annoyed that I ever started FNAG as a series. As of writing this (September 15, 2026), I have no intentions of finishing this project. FNAG meant a lot to me. Not because it was my first project to hit 100 views. Not because it was a crappy rip off FNAG. It was because it was when I started to really enjoy programming. It was my first ever "Full" game. It didn't take long either, only a week. But the encouragement and the fun I had programming it was something I never Experienced. I even got some of my friends into coding, and that was pretty awesome. FNAG 2 is possibly the funniest thing to code (Actually it was so fun). If I had to tell you to do something, it would be: Please code for fun, and don't get mindblocked over something just because it will be hard. Overcoming obstacles and creating and improving is so fun. It is actually so crazy how much I've grown as a programmer these last 2 years. If you read this whole thing, then gosh, go play an actual good game lol.
