So I had a horse who passed a few months ago, and I've been thinking about him a lot, so I decided to write this. I was actually in tears while writing. _____________________________________________ “Time is short,” they said, and I knew, And the ache of my love rang cold and true. “The Master called me home,” your eyes seem to say. Yet we have a bond that time cannot shrivel or slay. We would ride off into the Narnia of our own minds, Through the fields of gold, where pure light shines. Through great battles you bore me, steadfast and strong, And for you, my king, my heart will ever long. With every stride, my steed, we learned to soar, From dusk and dawn we would explore. But farewell for now, my noble friend, And Maker be willing, we shall meet again. _____________________________________________ -Poem by me -Photo from Google; not my horse or me -My horse for the inspiration -The reason I say "my king" is because my horse's name meat king -If you have any questions ask me
