One moment they were in the middle of their campaign, at the start of a fight against a powerful enemy, and his friend Milo had passed out. Far from ideal. When Milo came to, he insisted on speaking in some nonsensical, ye olde English type phrases. Needless to say, this did not help Marty's anxiety. Neither did it help the dm's impatience. He insisted it was just Milo sulking and trying to make the game difficult for everyone all because his character, Venus, took a lot of damage. This didnt help Marty much, he worried something had happened to his friend. -- Venus was becoming almost frantic at this point. His friends were... changed... and they refused to listen to him now. At points it was like they couldn't understand a word he said, and sometimes he could barely understand them either. Speaking in tongues. Some cruel trickery. They insisted this was some.. some game! Had they not been journeying together mere hours before? Perhaps the sorcerer was nary a dream, perhaps this was the sorcerer's magic at work, a horrific purgatory that bends their words and pulls the party in twain... -- The discussions had reached a full argument now. Marty insisted they oughta call an ambulance for their friend, whilst the dm was convinced Milo simply needed to cut it out and let the rest of them continue the game in peace. -- His ear twitched. Venus stared warily at the fly on his ear. Something was most certainly amiss. He felt this when the sorcerer made their presence known, and he felt it now. He knew it. This was all a mere spell. Perhaps his party was under its influence too, perchance this was why they acted so uncharacteristically. "Thou art a fiction" he muttered. "a fiction I shall soon escape". The fly said nothing. Venus gathered his courage and stood up. He had a plan for his escape back to reality. -- The group froze when they heard Milo talking to himself. They watched silently as he stood up and walked to the nearby wall. Nobody felt able to move as he grabbed the wall with both hands and slammed his face against it, before falling to the ground unconscious. -- Venus woke up back in the forest, the sorcerer nowhere to be seen. The sun was setting again on another day. His party still lay where he had seen them last. Try as he might, he was unable to wake them from their spell-induced slumber, and he then realised what it meant to cross the sorcerer of the forest. He followed the song of crickets back out of the woods, journeying alone. -- SSORYR that was long i love writing art - coding - and a little by me :3 character from 's dta! song is by jagwar twin
