- THIS PROJECT RUNS AT 30 FPS - - NOT MOBILE COMPATIBLE - sonic the buggy platformer is now sonkei hezhoj!!! still leaving the desc the same since bleh a/d to move j to jump s to duck w to look up - as sonic... duck and jump to spindash duck while at a speed on the ground to roll - as honey... k (midair) to pounce hit a wall during a pounce and hold j to bounce - misc... sonic is faster than honey honey jumps higher than sonic this is a sonic the buggy platformer recode. hope you like stupid spike bugs i was bored sorry ): yeah this one was just made out of pure boredom and procrastination, have fun (: (slope physics are only gentle and not really sonic accurate. sorry loop and curved slope lovers) (it's not... buggy, since this platform is only following the remix engines as reference, only thing buggy is the INTENTIONAL spike bug)
don't mean to plug but please check out my other things pls graaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah -NOTES- THIS ENGINE IS A VERY BASIC AND MODIFYABLE ENGINE, ONLY SUPPLYING YOU WITH BASIC STUFF SUCH AS SONIC, RINGS, LIVES, ETC. (ask me for permission first, STBP crew can go use this freely though!) all code in here is by me (: -CREDITS- my cup of water for hydrating me game over jingle by "Sonic Beta Archive" on yt the STBP crew for the. gameing rrthiel for the funny Athletc, is he runing john tay for the remix of rrthiel's athletic @lolybit for making the funny sonky game. honey the cat sprites by xeric-studios I may also just use this for my own Sonic stuff, so don't mind me -UPDATES- v1.01 - added rolling (how the hell did i forget?) v1.02 - sonic no longer stutters between his idle and jog costumes when turning, wall collision is somewhat more tight v1.03 - added sonic's idle in, something i should've done a long time ago and fixed a bug where the player would randomly get 7 extra lives on bootup, sonic no longer collects rings after death v1.04 - sonic can no longer turn around mid-air after getting hurt, you no longer can go faster while rolling on the ground, to make it more accurate to classic sonic gameplay & you can no longer turn around while spindashing v1.05 - added sonic's push animation, the ring counter now blinks red if you have 0 rings v1.051 - fixed some animation code, sonic no longer can stay in his jog pose when holding both a and d down, fixed some offset on his push animation v1.06A - fixed a really bad level design oversight which caused sonic and the project to lag harshly v1.06B - redid the thumbnail for uhh scratch team reasons v1.07 - sonic no longer jitters between his jog pose and his stand pose when slowly going down slopes (this also applies to other standing poses such as looking up and crouching), sonic no longer can airjump, but has a tiny bit of jump leniency to come along with it so you can have the ability to jump in the air for a small bit v1.071 - new music from john tay!!! so incredible (: v1.1 - THE HONEY UPDATE introducing... honey the cat as a new playable character for the engine!!!! coded in a single day and sprites by xeric!! enjoy (: (also, some sprites may look odd like her crouch, since xeric never made a crouch, so i had to improvise and use some of the already existing sprites and some pixel art to help) v1.11 - fixed some animations!! these things never come out in one piece... v1.111 - fixed a glitch where dying with afterimages causes the death animation to happen faster v1.12 - sonic now smoothly runs down slopes v1.121 - made collisions a bit more flush to walls n stuff
